Daily Life

Learning for All Age Groups

We provide a play-based learning environment where babies, toddlers, and preschool-aged children are supported to explore, learn, and grow in ways that suit their individual needs and rhythms.

  • Babies are supported through warm, responsive care, sensory exploration, and one-to-one interaction, with a strong focus on language, comfort, and security.

  • Toddlers are encouraged to explore their environment, build confidence, and develop social skills through play, movement, and guided support.

  • Preschoolers take part in learning experiences that build independence, communication, problem-solving, and social understanding through play and group activities.

Everyday Learning and Play

Children move between indoor and outdoor learning throughout the day, engaging in creative activities, construction, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration in our treehouse and all-weather areas.

Language is supported intentionally through conversation, storytelling, and shared experiences, helping children build communication skills and confidence across all age groups.

Our Preschool Programme (4-5 Year Olds)

Alongside our everyday programme, we offer a preschool-based programme for children aged 4–5 years to support them as they prepare for school.

This programme focuses on:

  • Small group learning experiences

  • Early literacy and numeracy through everyday play

  • Developing independence, listening skills, and responsibility

  • Building confidence in group settings

  • Supporting a smooth and positive transition to school

Working with Parents and Whānau

We value open, honest communication with whānau and work alongside families to support each child’s learning and wellbeing. Families are encouraged to talk with us about their child’s experiences, interests, and development.
